Through technical assistance to contribute to and enhance existing work for universities, academe, research students, assisting NGO groups, development agencies, environment groups

ESSC has helped analyse various aspects of the emerging alliances to assist them in establishing themselves. Emerging alliance groups are filling the vacuum left by central government in tackling the decline of the upland forests and marine ecosystem. Partnerships with local governments at barangay, municipal, and provincial levels:

  • Agusan del Sur - 14-point development agenda for natural resource management provincial planning
  • Bukidnon, South Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat - land cover update for provincial planning
  • Candijay, Bohol and Malaybalay City, Bukidnon - preparation of LGU comprehensive land use plan
  • Besao and Sagada, Mountain Province - ancestral domain management planning as a cultural basis for municipal land use planning
  • Identification and documentation of emerging local government alliances for resource management planning and implementation
